The building’s design is another impressive piece from NH Architecture celebrating Melbourne and its community, people and culture, with sweeping views of the city skyline from its terraces. With important conference and event spaces inside, Durra Panel was specified in the ceiling to control external noise intrusion. Working with the team at NH Architecture, Durra Panel and Durra Steel Sections were incorporated into the pleated roof design to form the complete acoustic envelope over the building.
To enhance program and improve site safety, Ortech and Professional Plumbing Contractors developed a new style of Lifting Frame which enabled lifting the pleated roof design from the safety of the ground in large “V-shaped” modules of Durra Panel and Durra Steel Sections, which also included the box gutter!
The roof and ceiling installation was a complete success with everyone looking forward to the opening of CENTREPIECE in 2022.
