Follow these step-by-step instructions to assemble and fix your Durra Panel blocks for a striking, high-performance wall.
• Durra Panel strips (100mm or 150mm wide, natural or Biochar finish)
• Timber screws (75mm for initial grouping)
• Neutral cure silicone
• Timber base plate (90mm)
• Timber batten screws (14G 175-200mm for fixing blocks)
• Clamps and packers
• Optional: timber trims, skirting, or aluminium angles for finishing
Choose Your Panel Finish & Length
○ Select 100mm or 150mm wide Durra Panel strips.
○ Available in Natural or Biochar finish.
○ Strips can be supplied in lengths up to 3.6m.
Prepare the Base
○ Install a 90mm timber base plate along the floor.
○ Ensure the base is level to allow for straight panel stacking.
○ Fix the base plate securely to the existing frame or wall.
Create Panel Blocks
○ Secure 3 Durra Panel strips together using 75mm timber screws.
○ Apply neutral cure silicone between strips to form a secure block.
Stack & Align Panels
○ Position the first block on the base plate. Check level/plumb.
○ Use clamps to ensure all panel faces are flush and aligned.
○ Fix the first block using 14G timber batten screws (175mm for the first block).
Add Additional Blocks
○ Stack remaining blocks vertically.
○ Clamp each block to maintain alignment.
○ Fix subsequent blocks with 200mm timber batten screws.
○ For the final block or partial block, use a combination of silicone and packers to ensure a tight fit.
Finish the Wall
○ Install timber trims, skirting, or aluminium angles around edges for a neat, professional finish.
