As with ceilings, Durra Panel® is designed to work with both standard timber stud walls and our proprietary steel systems. Feel free to contact us if you require any further information.
Here is our step-by-step guide on how to install Durra Panel to these types of walls:
Here is how to install Durra Panels in areas that have a timber wall frame:
Install the panels horizontally or vertically using biscuit connectors, joining the panels along the long edges on areas where Durra Panel® is to be fixed to an existing framing.
Make the fixings on either side of the panels join into the framing behind.
Trim all the joins between the panels with Durra® Aluminum Sections to conceal any fixings and screws.
Durra Steel Sections are also transitional as wall framing for large scale external wall systems. Here’s how to install Durra Panels in areas using our proprietary steel systems:
Install Durra® Duplex or Durra® I Beams as girts at 1200mm spacings across spans between structural columns and fix off to a standard 4-hole bar cleat.
Space the Durra® Cross Tee Units evenly along the length of the beam to complete the framing grid. These will act as both vertical bridging members and panel-to-panel joiners.
Secure the Durra Panels® into the framing grid with wedges, with the base flange of Durra® Steel Sections to provide a flush-finished acoustic wall system.
