Durra Panel is proud to be a key contributor to the highly anticipated Geelong Exhibition and Convention Centre, a landmark development set to transform the city’s waterfront. Due for completion between late 2025 and early 2026, this state-of-the-art facility will play a crucial role in boosting the region’s economy and cultural appeal.
As part of this expansive project, Durra Panel’s double-layer system will be installed throughout the two separate exhibition spaces, providing industry-leading durability, sustainability, and acoustic performance. This system enhances the venue’s ability to accommodate a diverse range of events while ensuring a superior sound-controlled environment.
The venue is also located just three blocks from the Geelong Library, a previous Durra Panel project where our panels were integrated into the ceiling system.
Additionally, Durra Panel Soundsorb, a high-performance acoustic finish, will be used in the Plenary space, ensuring exceptional sound absorption for conferences, performances, and large-scale events as well as enhancing the live experience within the venue.
This project represents a major milestone for Geelong’s urban landscape and bolstering the city’s position as a leading destination for business, entertainment, and cultural events. Durra Panel is excited to be part of this transformation, delivering sustainable and acoustically advanced solutions to one of Victoria’s most significant new developments.
